Holiday Fun Stuff

I have not had much time for many things, however I did have enough time to jazz up a wonderful picture from Moomp Photography for the holidays. I put it on my desktop help me feel more of the spirit while I am at work. I am but a novice with working on post picture production but I am finding the process entirely enthralling. Here is my latest project.

I can feel the excitement from the kids about Christmas. From an adult perspective it is only 7 days away, from a kids perspective it is F O R E V E R! I have more pictures to post but haven't rounded the ponies yet. In due time you all shall have a treat, I love pictures.

I am looking to build some new Christmas memories, why you ask? I am trying not to feel sad for those rite of passages my family has had to take in the past couple of years. Don't get me wrong, I am very lucky to have as many wonderful memories as I do, I just need to move one more step towards recovery. This new memory will be great, we will have the family over for Christmas, it is Brian and my turn to shoulder the responsibility of hosting the Who Feast with the Rare Who Roast Beast. All are welcome to come and join, and you know who you are, open invitation from me to you. The more love in the room the more hearts are mended, isn't this what this season is about? At least a part of it?

Anyway, more thoughts.......

The smell of warm food cooking on Christmas Morning

Sitting down on Christmas Eve and Christmas night to watch a White Christmas with Danny Kaye, Bing Crosby, and Rosemary Clooney

The quiet in the house the night before and the night of Christmas

Tracking the "Claws" with government satellites

Thinking maybe, just maybe I will see the tail end of a red suit, if only I would remember my glasses.

Happy Holidays to you all!

  1. I love you. I love your writing. I hear ya sis... Seven days? Did I blink? It was just 4th of July!!! Sheesh. Kim came home tonight and we didn't have the Christmas lights on (we actually barely got home ourselves cause we were SHOPPING!) and he said, "What? No Lights!!!? There are only seven days and we need lights as often as we can cause before long it's gonna be over!" He is right. And this year, I am kinda sad. I think we were all so busy the spirit never caught up with us fully. Sheesh! Maybe when the living room is littered wtih wrapping paper. I do love wrapping paper. I even love wrapping. Merry Seven Days to Christmas!
