Oh, the places you will go.......

Oh, the places they will go,
all the things they will know,
the papers they will collect,
the teachers and classmates to respect.

The lunches to be eaten,
the tether balls to be beaten,
the jumping and the swinging,
the laughter and squealing.

I watch my three move silently away from me thinking "oh, the places they will go and the friendships that will grow".  How charismatic them have become, everyday will be so fun, to see their minds flourish as they grow into the knowledge of the world has to bestow upon them.

This week has been one of reflection for me, not truly believing all that I have seen in the three I cherish to my core.  The tenderness of a sister for her little siblings, the silent support of one another as they start a new adventure (no naps are required to the pleasure of Big Easy).  With each step, each breath, each day they move silently away from me.  This is not the end, this is only the beginning of something wonderful, their independence is my success.  This is an indicator that I am doing something good in this world.

After a week of school and soccer practice, today I actually shed some tears.  These moments with them, these little wonders make my life complete in so many ways.  The "adult" pressures I have melt away for a few moments when we are together.  Those things don't seem so important for me, and I gladly sweep them to the back of the closet.  Being a kid is to be happy, no one should ever take that away from them, not for an instant.  Live life, love life and capture life.  My kids taught me that.  I owe them everything for reminding me of those simple words.

Your mind will answer most questions if you learn to relax and wait for the answer.
